Import Export Trade Data- Find Major Imports and Exports

The South-Asian country India ranks at the tenth position in the list of the major importers of the world. Trade Data India reveals that the total value of imports made by the country in 2019 was approximately 479 billion dollars. As per the statistics of Indian imports, the total import of India showed a decline in the growth by a percentile of 6% when compared to the previous year. The estimated value of overall imports for the period of March 2020-21 was USD 505.94 billion. It also showed a negative growth of -16.53 percent.

India Trade Data on the other hand revealed that the total value of Indian exports was approximate 323 billion dollars in 2019. The overall exports combining both merchandise and services during the period of 2020-21 estimated a value to as 493.19 billion dollars. This value exhibited a downfall in growth by -6.66%. The trade deficit that could be estimated in merchandise was around USD 98.56 billion. The net of services that could be calculated was USD 85.81 billion. Thus the trade deficit evaluated from the overall trade is USD 12.74 billion.

The import-export trade data of India provides details of shipment that includes information on the date of shipping, description of the product, HSN Code, name of the foreign origin country, the quantity, unit, and total value in INR and USD currencies, port name, etc. All the information that is provided is sourced from authorized departments of trade associations, departments of Indian customs, companies involved with shipping & logistics, port authorities, government bodies, and other authoritative links.

Indian Import Export Trade Data showed that the top trading partners of India have 25 countries. In imports the countries involved include China at the top with a value of 14.3%, and are then followed by the USA with 7.33%, UAE with 6.3%, Saudi Arabia with 5.6%, Iraq with 4.6%, Switzerland with 3.7%, Hong Kong with 3.6% and so on. Whereas on the other hand, in exports, the USA holds the first position with a value of 16.8%, UAE with 9.1%, China with 5.3%, Hong Kong with 3.6%, and so on. Thus in exports, the percentage share of top countries is around 70.57 and in imports, it is about 80.93. The total trade percentage of these top countries is calculated to be 76.48. Thus these data provided helps the business operations to occur seamlessly in varied forms while analyzing the statistics of import and export in a better way.
